About Us

The Star Stable Club began it's life as The Adults of Star Stable on November 23rd, 2018. We'd never expected to be an all inclusive group simply because the game itself has a lot more adult players versus the smaller group of pre-teens and teenagers. But all that changed in the blink of an eye.

On March 11th, 2020, Covid 19 was declared a pandemic and mandatory restrictions were being put into place. Schools shut down. Work places shut down. And with these shut downs, came a sky rocket in the number of cases of children being abused. Of partners being abused. Of SSO becoming a place where one could get lost in a virtual reality and escape their current one.

During Covid 19's outbreak and subsequent quarantines, we saw an uptick in online harassment and bullying of our SSO peers in other, larger, more well known Facebook groups, geared towards the community being 'all inclusive' but to a degree. Bullying was allowed to happen, unchecked and often, unchallenged by Administrators and Moderators of these groups and so pre-teens and teens, having no place to go, would join ours, under false DOBs.

After discovering this, I made a decision to change the group's openness to pre-teens and teens, offering them a 'safe harbor' until the pandemic's end. However, in the coming months, myself and my team were shocked by the maturity of these pre-teens and teens and as such, I began to move towards a group name that was all inclusive.

On April 17th, 2022, I changed the group's name from The Adults of Star Stable, to The Star Stable Club. An all inclusive club that promotes a healthy, safe space for people of all ages, to show off their SSO adventures, along with showing off, in moderation, other horse games and photos of one's artwork, photography and pets.

Since being open (5yrs come November 18/23), we sadly began to see membership and overall group activity dropping and thus, a hard decision was needed; do I keep a dying group open, or make a new one and reignite the spark? I chose to reignite that spark with a new group. Titled The Star Stable Club 2.0, it was founded on October 10, 2023 with a grand opening to happen on October 31st, 2023.
